    Biography

    Vinaya joined Middlesex University in 2010, following the completion of his PhD at Cardiff Business School. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Strategy, Leadership and Operations.

    His research interests encompass sustainable supply chain management, the application of emerging technologies—including Industry 4.0, blockchain, data analytics and artificial intelligence—to supply chain management and sustainability, supply chain risk management, and supply chain systems. He is actively engaged in research, publishing in leading academic journals, and supervising and examining doctoral research.

    Vinaya is currently an External Examiner for the MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management programme at Royal Holloway, University of London. He has previously served as Programme Leader for the MBA programme and Link Tutor for the MBA programme delivered in partnership with Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College. He has also held external examinerships at the Universities of Greenwich and Kingston.

    Prior to entering academia, Vinaya worked for several years as a management consultant, specialising in supply chain management and operational performance improvement. He holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, a Master's degree in Operational Research from Lancaster University, an MBA from S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, and a PhD from Cardiff Business School.

    Vinaya is a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM), the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), and the Higher Education Academy (HEA).
