Working with our students
Get in touch to learn moreWhether you’re an international organisation or a local SME, there are many ways you can partner with Middlesex University.
These partnerships give our students the best possible start to their careers while also giving you direct access to our greatest resource; more than 24,000 passionate, driven and diverse students and recent graduates.
»ÆÍø±¬ÁÏworks, our careers & employability service, support our students and graduates to shape their career and secure employment by providing a range of services to employers to help you engage with our students and find the best candidates for your business needs.
Vacancies and opportunities
We can share your placements, internships, graduate jobs, work experience opportunities, part-time vacancies, or charity volunteering opportunities via our »ÆÍø±¬ÁÏworks service.
We can also share details of other relevant opportunities that would interest our students, such as your open-evenings, taster days, networking events, seminars, creative competitions, opportunities to showcase work, or similar.
There’s no charge to share as we inform students of upcoming opportunities via our online jobs-board, social-media channels, e-newsletter, our jobs-wall in our employability centre, and through our employability advisors and academic staff.

Share your vacancy or opportunity with our team. Alternatively, you can create a company profile on our online jobs platform to showcase your organisation and post your own vacancies as and when required. Let us know if you’d like to do so, by emailing the team.
If you’d also like us to help with your recruitment of Middlesex students by screening CVs, shortlisting applicants, or hosting your selection days, we can do that too.
Careers events and fairs
Throughout the year, we host a number of careers fairs and employer events, both online and at our inspiring London campus.
Some of our events and fairs are industry-specific, others attract students from across a range of different disciplines, with our flagship Gradstock employment festival usually attracting over 1000 students in the autumn term.
In the spring, we host CareerConnect, our annual placement and work experience fair. We also host Q&A panels, industry insight talks, taster days, mock assessment days and networking events, all of which our employer partners can get involved in.
"Thanks again for having us! We were all so impressed with the students; they were lovely and really engaged. It was an absolute pleasure to work with them and I hope we've encouraged them to apply! Thanks to you and your team as well for all your work promoting the event and managing the logistics!"

Placement and internships
Hosting a placement or internship gives you the opportunity to connect with the best candidates before they graduate.
All of our courses allow students to complete work-related activities. Many students fulfil a year-long placement in the workplace, where they can immerse themselves in a role that’s relevant to their degree.
Our students are also eager for short-term work experience opportunities or internships, even if it’s for just a few weeks over the summer break, part-time alongside their studies, or after graduation.
"We are delighted that Lubna will continue to work with us after completing her placement, as she has become an integral member of the team. We will certainly offer placement opportunities in the future."

Real-world employer projects
We recognise the value of collaborative experiential learning and we work hard to embed project-based learning initiatives in the University curriculum to help our students to gain invaluable employability skills and real work experience.
»ÆÍø±¬ÁÏcel is a collaborative, experiential, learning initiative offered by Middlesex University that enables students to collaborate cross-Faculty, to deliver innovative solutions to both internal and external ‘clients’ while gaining invaluable employability skills and real project-based work experience.
The »ÆÍø±¬ÁÏcel programme offers local businesses and organisations the opportunity to engage smart, innovative minds in providing real solutions to business challenges.
These can range from a prototype; MVP; proof of concept; marketing or business development strategy or viable tech solutions and provide a cost-free solution where there may not be in-house capability, skills knowledge or expertise.
For more complex and longer term projects, we can also facilitate and progress collaborative partnerships, where you can engage our academic expertise via government funded programmes such as InnovateUK.
