Biography

Having completed my PhD focussed on 'the regulation of gene expression during T cell development' at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund in 1996, I then took up an EU capitol mobility grant that enabled me to work at the Centro Nacional de Biotecnologia in Madrid where I continued to work on T cell development. In 1998 I joined the lab of Professor Tessa Crompton at Imperial College London and then went on tor relocate with Tessa's group to the Institute of Child Health/UCL in 2004. The main focus of my research during this time was the role of Hedgehog signalling in haematopoiesis. To this date, I still have an honorary associate professor position at ICH/UCL which facilitates my continued collaboration with Professor Crompton. In 1998 I took up a senior lectureship position at the University of East London and then moved to Middlesex University in 2016 where I am now a Director of Programmes. .聽
